Q:

What is Livekick?

A:

Livekick is a live concert search engine and recommendations web site that lets you know where and when all your favorite artists are playing. Automatically. Just tell Livekick where you live and who your favorite artists (keep reading and learn the many ways to tell Livekick which artists are your favorites) are and Livekick will recommend upcoming local concerts by favorite and similar artists. You can also search for upcoming concerts by your favorite artists anywhere they may be happening. It's easy to use, and free. You'll never miss a show again. Livekick helps you find the best and cheapest tickets for upcoming local concerts from up to 10 included tickets web sites.

Q:

Why shouldn't I just use Google to find out what's going on?

A:

Google is okay, but it can't hook you up automatically with your favorite artists, tell you the date of the shows, provide maps to the venues, offer you tickets and show you videos – all in one snap of your fingers.

The Livekick concerts search engine is designed to find the upcoming concerts of your favorite artists from a database of tens of thousands concerts in the US so you don't have to browse through pages and pages of unrelated results when you're looking for concerts.

In short, no more looking for a needle in a haystack. Livekick is updated daily with concerts and ticketing information to provide you with the most comprehensive and accurate search results imaginable.

Q:

Come on now, you must be charging me something to use Livekick?

A:

Amazingly enough, Livekick won't cost you a dime.

Q:

So...how does Livekick make money?

A:

Livekick gets a fee from tickets websites for tickets you buy for concerts you've discovered on Livekick. But don't worry, you won't be charged anything extra.

Q:

How do I get concert recommendations from Livekick?

A:

Just log-in to Livekick and click on Your Concerts to see your concerts recommendations. You'll also automatically get an email alert with concert recommendations as soon as they are announced.

Q:

How does Livekick choose which concerts to recommend to me?

A:

Livekick builds and maintains a musical profile for you based on the artists you listen to on your computer and add to your favorite artists list on livekick.com. Livekick recommends concerts by both artists you like and artists similar to the artists you like from its database of thousands of announced concerts every day based on this musical profile.

Q:

How does Livekick help me to save money?

A:

Livekick will alert you as soon as an upcoming local concert by an artist you like is announced. If you buy tickets for a concert when it is announced, you are going to avoid paying much more close to the concert's date due to tickets availability and concert tickets pricing changes. * added bonus = youll likely find a better seat by buying early.

Q:

Does Livekick help me to remember which shows I want to go to?

A:

Livekick has a proprietary web-based calendar (click on Your Concerts) to show upcoming shows by your favorite artists so you won't forget about the show coming up next month that you've just got to see. You can export the info to your other calendars like Outlook, iCal, Google or Yahoo! calendars. Our mission is to help you to never miss a show again.

Q:

Please Tell me you built this for Mac users too?

A:

Absolutely. Mac users are huge music fans and we wouldn't dream of letting you miss a concert.

Livekick works on Safari and Firefox on OS X. Livekick also provides a free OS X Dashboard widget that automatically syncs your iTunes artists with Livekick and gives you concert recommendations directly on your desktop. For more information see: http://Livekick.com/download/. As you listen to and add music in iTunes on your Mac, Livekick will automatically recommend concerts when these artists play in your area.

Q:

Can I buy tickets to the concerts I see listed?

A:

Tickets are available for concerts you find on Livekick from a variety of on-line vendors.

From your Livekick calendar, click on a show and then click on Find Tickets. You'll see the ticketing information from a variety of sources and can purchase tickets from whichever of our growing list of vendors has tickets available. We currently list tickets from: Ticketmaster, Ticketsweb, Stubhub, Livenation, Tickets.com, Ticketsnow, TicketNetwork, Ticketscity and Ebay.

Q:

Can I search for concerts on Livekick?

A:

Sure – enter an artist name, concert name or venue name in the search box on the top of every web page on Livekick.com and click Search Concerts. The search will initially search in the city you've chosen in Your Location but you can switch to nationwide if you want to see wherever your favorite artist's touring schedule takes them.

Q:

None of my Favorite bands are playing in my town soon how can I find other local concerts that I may like?

A:

Add your favorite bands to Your Favorites and click on its name to go to the artist page. If there are upcoming local concerts by bands or artists similar to your band then a list of recommended local concerts will be displayed at the right-side of the page. Alternatively, search for your band name in Livekick and a list of recommended local concerts will appear on the right-side of the page. You can also search by venue to see whats currently happening and coming soon at your favorite club, shed or stadium.

Q:

How can I get more local upcoming concert recommendations?

A:

Your concerts recommendations default to concerts in venues that are 20 miles or closer to your city center or from you your zip-code geo area. To get more concert recommendations, just click on Your Location and change the distance in the drop-down to 30 miles or to 100 miles. Don't be lazy it's totally worth it to travel a few more miles to see your favorite indie rock band playing a gig in the next town down the highway.

Q:

How do I tell my friends about Livekick?

A:

On every page you'll see a link up at the top for inviting your friends to join Livekick. In the near future, Livekick will recommend concerts to you and your friends based artists in your favorites list you have in common and your respective locations.

Q:

How do I share a listing to a cool concert I want to go to with all my pals?

A:

On the Concert Details page click on Invite and an email invite form will open. Enter your friend's email address, customize the message if you like and click Invite. Voila, your friends will get an email telling them about the concert with a link back to Livekick to sign up or sign in to get details and tickets. Concerts are much more fun when you go with friends.

Q:

Does Livekick have a way for me to see videos of my favorite artists?

A:

You betcha. Go to an artist's page or concert listing and if a video(s) is available it will be there. Thank you, YouTube. Many listings have audio samples as well.

Q:

Does Livekick allows me to listen to songs from artists so I can see if I like them before going to see them Live?

A:

Sure – You can play up to 3 full-length representative songs for free from most artists listed on Livekick. Look at the sample songs area next to the artist photo in tour pages on Livekick.com and click the play icon to play a song.

A:

Yes of course. There are a couple of ways to do this.

1. Go to your local city concert guide. Then click on Browse a different city. Choose a city and you'll see current shows in that location.

2. Use search concerts, which you'll find on every page. Enter an artist and search. It will first show if that artist is playing in your town. You can then choose nationwide search to see where their concert tour will take them next.

A:

Not yet, bunky, but we're working on it.

Q:

How can I automatically track all the artists that I listen to on my computer with Livekick?

A:

We have a small, light-weight downloadable app that runs from your Windows system tray.

The app automatically scans in a non-obtrusive and behind the scenes manner (read: your bandwidth or CPU is unaffected) and uploads the names of the artists from your desktop music to Livekick so you can get notified when these artists are on tour near you.

Go to: http://Livekick.com/download/ and install Livekick on your Windows PC. These applications automatically sync the artists you listen to on your computer with Livekick.
